Hunger Walk 2022
Our annual Hunger Walk took place on November 20th. We raised $42,000!!!
Summer Lunch Buddies 2022
With our Summer Lunch Buddies program, we feed hundreds of children each week. We can't wait for 2022! Please stay tuned for things we will need for the lunch boxes.
Greer Centennial Lions Club donates to Greer Soup Kitchen
Gave $2000 to “Way of Truth” to a Ukranian church for them to help during the Ukrainian crisis.
Southern Gourmet Snowcones and Rambo's Hot Dogs.
Severed 178 hot dogs. We want to thank them for their time and talents.
Ethan Tingle volunteered at the kitchen. We want to thank his family for their generosity during this time of grief. The Tingle family decided to give in honor of their precious son. We are truly blessed by this and Ethan will be forever in our hearts.
Covid brought our community closer as we protected each other with God's GRACE.

Our 16th Annual Merle State Hunger Walk Walk was rained out but we had it inside the Memorial United Methodist Church in Greer, Social Hall.
Lyman Elementary Canned Food Drive 2019
Lyman Elementary showed up and showed out. Lyman elementary collected 20,990 canned goods. This is the biggest donation we have ever received.

Hunger Walk 2018
Our 14th Annual Merle State Hunger Walk took place at 2:00 pm on November 18th 2018. Vendors and food trucks were placed at the Greer Soup Kitchen. he walk started at Memorial United Methodist on Main Street in Greer and ended at the kitchen on Poinsett.
Woodforest National Bank
$4,800 was given today from Woodforest National Bank toward our Hunger Walk.
Taylor's Branch Manager, Harmony Margarita along with Retail Banker II, Ken Surratt, both from the Taylor's Branch graciously stopped by to drop off supplies and a check for $4,800. Harmony helped this past Easter and has a real passion for what we are doing at the kitchen and stops each week with supplies. This is a true gift from God.
Fox Carolina News Visits Lunch Buddies Event
From June 11 - August 11 we will be feeding children in the area 3 days a week a hot meal. 175 children being fed with the partnership of Greer Soup Kitchen and Chandler Creek Elementary school.
